What's new?
- On Sunday, September 7th, 2:00-5:00 p.m. at the Market Hall, Paul Marcus Wines teams up with the Pasta Shop’s Cheese Counter and the Slow Food East Bay convivium to celebrate raw milk cheeses and naturally grown wines. Taste some great raw milk cheeses and organic, biodynamic, and sustainable wines from the U.S. and abroad. Talk with producers and Market Hall staff about what makes these cheeses and wines distinctive. Listen to short presentations throughout the afternoon explaining the concepts, terminology, and current practices among producers. Tickets cost $50.00 per person and are available at the Pasta Shop cheese counter or online at markethallfoods.com
- 7-Aug-2008: Mark spent a day being filmed in the PMW wine cellar talking about sparkling wine, wines from Piemonte, wines from Rioja, and pinot noir.
See the resulting videos at expertvillage.com.
- 3-Aug-2008: The Harvest 2008 issue of Edible East Bay is out, and it includes an article about Lamorinda vineyards by PMW's own Mark Middlebrook. You can pick up a free issue in our store or at Peaberry's Coffee & Tea.
- Jul-2008: Recent releases from great vintages include 2004 Barolo and Barbaresco and 2005 Burgundy. Come in and ask us for some recommendations.
- Apr-2007: If you're curious about who works (and has worked) at Paul Marcus Wines, visit our staff roster page.
- Dec-2006: We sell a selection of PMW Highly Recommended
wineglasses from Riedel. These are the glasses that we use at home. Good stemware improves the aromas and flavors of all wines, whether you're spending $5.99 or $59 per bottle. We've selected our favorite glasses for white and everyday red wines, more complex red wines, and sparkling wines. Most of them cost $35 per four-pack (and they come in a sturdy box for gift-giving or carrying to wine tastings!). Come by the store and ask us to show you the sample glasses.
